Everyone deserves world-class mental health care.
Our mission
At the Inner Compass Collective, we’re working to ensure that world-class, evidence-based mental health care is within reach for everyone, not just those with financial privilege. We’re taking down barriers to high-quality treatment by making science-driven therapy widely accessible and affordable. We believe that when clinicians receive fair compensation, robust support, and a healthy work-life balance, they are empowered to provide the best possible care. Our expert clinicians bring advanced training, extensive experience, and years of dedication to helping others. Through collaborative care, research, and education, we’re not only helping individuals today but also building a future that advances the field of mental health and drives systemic change.

PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Amanda Vandivier, Ph.D., LMSW
Specialties: Addictions, chronic illness, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety, Christian counseling
-
Mandy is an eclectic practitioner, meaning she uses humor, a whole bunch of theoretical approaches, and a bit of caffeine-fueled optimism in her treatment approach. Mandy has a Ph.D. in Psychology along with an MSW, and a whole bunch of other degrees because she likes to continue to learn, but she also wants to move towards fully understanding how humans function mentally and how we all can function better! She is also a published researcher in the addictions field, and if you ever want to know more about it, please be aware she will talk your ears off.
Mandy’s focus is generalist, meaning she works with a wide variety of issues including (but not limited to) ADHD, addiction, anxiety, bipolar disorder, chronic illness, depression, grief, panic disorders, self-esteem issues, schizophrenia, and trauma. These are all issues she experienced personally, or her family members/friends have experienced, meaning she has more than just “book learning” on these issues. Mandy uses the treatment approach that is right for her clients, and that can include forms of CBT (DBT, REBT, ACT…), parts work and psychoanalytic approaches, somatic approaches, existentialism, person-centered focus, motivational interviewing, positive psychology, and trauma-informed therapy. And as mentioned before humor and definitely a dose of optimism!
Mandy identifies as Christian and is LGBTQ+ friendly, which are not mutually exclusive. She believes that God’s love is for all and can take many forms but does not push her beliefs on her clients. She also works hard to eliminate stigma of any kind for her clients, with a focus of normalizing their experience and empowering them to address what they want to work on and how to meet those goals. Mandy’s goal for her clients is to leave every session feeling a little better, a little lighter, and hopefully a little happier.

A modern approach
It’s essential for us that our clients get personalized suggestions on who from our team is the best match. Rather than do things the typical way, we’ve created a proprietary system designed around our patients’ needs. Furthermore, our Clinical Director personally matches all clients with the best possible clinician on our team. You’re even welcome to reach out to him and let him know your specific needs.
